Expanding the universe without a Big Bang

von Tim Bell (CERN)

CERN has been running an OpenStack cloud in production since July 2013 supporting physicists who are recording and analysing the 25PB/year coming from the Large Hadron Collider experiments and other research at CERN. In this talk, we will cover the approach taken to scale an OpenStack production cloud to over 50,000 cores across multiple data centres, the tools to deploy and monitor it along with the migrations and upgrade experiences.
